SmallUPBP
A small physically based renderer that implements the unified points, beams and paths algorithm described in the paper Unifying points, beams, and paths in volumetric light transport simulation.
Thorough description of the renderer, including its usage and implementation details as well as its theoretical background, is given in my master thesis Robust light transport simulation in participating media.
Adaptive sampling and Markov chain Monte Carlo methods in light transport simulation
Research project funded by the Czech Science Foundation (GAČR).
Adaptive direct illumination sampling for efficient light transport simulation
Research project funded by the Charles University Grant Agency (GAUK).
Master thesis awarded 3rd place in the ACM Student project of the Year 2015 contest
